Gareth Soloway, technical analyst on The Paul Barron Show, told viewers he sees $1 upside potential of 50% to 100% for XRP if regulatory clarity arrives this fall. Good Evening Crypto’s Abs shared the clip, asking followers whether they agreed with the prediction.
The Chart Setup
Soloway pointed to XRP’s recent dip below $1 as a key technical signal. He said the move “pierced a dollar” and triggered stop losses from retail traders, producing a flush of liquidations. He noted heavy volume during that drop.
What stood out to him was the recovery. XRP moved back above $1 almost immediately after the dip, a pattern he called a possible bottoming tail. He identified support at $0.96 and $0.97, adding that buyers stepped in on the day he reviewed the chart.
Soloway also referenced a longer-term wedge pattern on the XRP chart that already broke out. He said a breakout doesn’t guarantee an immediate rally, but the price action since then has stayed controlled rather than collapsing. He called these signals “green shoots,” borrowing a term from traditional finance to describe early signs of recovery. Based on this combination of factors, he described himself as bullish on XRP at current levels.

The Clarity Act Connection
Host Paul Barron asked Soloway to project XRP’s price if the Clarity Act passes in September, allowing Ripple to move forward with initiatives the company has reportedly held back pending regulatory certainty.
Soloway responded that he would expect 50% to 100% upside in that scenario. Barron noted his research team believes the bill has a real chance of passing, though he said he remains skeptical himself.
Barron also asked directly why Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has stayed relatively quiet during recent developments tied to the Clarity Act, noting that Ripple has typically taken a more visible role in past regulatory moments.
Mixed Reactions From Commenters
Responses to the post reflected a range of views. One commenter, Phat-Tom, summarized the conditional nature of the prediction, writing that a rally depends on the bill passing. Without it, they said, XRP could trade lower, closer to $0.80.

Another commenter, FAG-ASH Lil, rejected the bullish case entirely. They stated XRP lacks meaningful transaction history and described the token as having served its original purpose of funding Ripple’s acquisitions. They said that even at $0.80, the token continues to generate value for Ripple and its shareholders, independent of broader market performance.
Where XRP Stands Now
The prediction rests heavily on the outcome of the Clarity Act. Soloway’s technical analysis identifies specific support levels and chart patterns he sees as bullish, but he tied his most aggressive price targets directly to regulatory passage. Traders now face a binary scenario shaped largely by Washington’s timeline rather than by chart patterns alone.
