MoonPay has taken a significant step towards expanded cryptocurrency adoption, announcing a partnership with the leading Financial Technology (FinTech) Company PayPal. This integration empowers US-based PayPal users to seamlessly purchase popular cryptocurrencies like Shiba Inu (SHIB) directly within the platform.
MoonPay customers with existing PayPal accounts can now directly fund their cryptocurrency acquisitions, enjoying the convenience of using a familiar platform. Options include using their PayPal balance, linked debit cards, or bank transfers, significantly streamlining the transaction process.
Beyond Shiba Inu, this collaboration grants US users access to over 110 supported cryptocurrencies through PayPal. Popular choices like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Cardano, and Solana can now be easily purchased. However, certain crypto assets originally supported by MoonPay may have regional restrictions and currently remain unavailable within the US market.
This news highlights the growing mainstream acceptance of cryptocurrencies. Traditional financial institutions like PayPal are recognizing the demand for crypto assets and simplifying access for their vast user base.
