Crypto commentator X Finance Bull has identified several developments involving XRP, Ripple, and major financial institutions to challenge claims that XRP is a scam.
He cited BNY’s decision to expand its digital asset custody services, Ripple’s regulatory approval in the United States, and the growing use of blockchain technology by established investment firms. He also referenced Hong Kong’s plans for around-the-clock settlement of tokenized transactions.
In his tweet, X Finance Bull listed these developments as evidence of increasing institutional involvement in digital assets. He then asked his followers what other developments they would add to the list.

BNY Expands Custody Services to Include XRP and RLUSD
X Finance Bull began with BNY’s decision to add XRP and RLUSD to its Digital Asset Custody platform.
On October 27, 2026, Ripple and BNY announced an expanded collaboration that allows eligible institutional clients to store and transfer both assets through the bank’s custody platform.
BNY already served as the primary custodian for RLUSD reserves since July 2025 and maintained an existing custody relationship with Ripple Prime. The latest agreement extends its digital asset custody services to XRP.
However, neither company has disclosed which institutional clients will receive access to XRP custody or when the specific service will begin.
Ripple Secures Final OCC Approval
The commentator also cited Ripple’s regulatory progress in the United States. On October 26, 2026, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) granted final approval for Ripple to establish Ripple National Trust Bank.
This decision completes a process that began with conditional preliminary approval on December 12, 2025.
Ripple National Trust Bank will provide fiduciary digital asset custody services, manage segregated reserves backing RLUSD, and serve as collateral trustee for those reserves.
The approval gives Ripple a federally supervised structure for its planned trust banking operations and expands its ability to serve institutional clients.
Aviva Launches Tokenized Fund on XRP Ledger
X Finance Bull also mentioned Aviva Investors and Franklin Templeton in connection with institutional tokenization.
Aviva Investors has launched a tokenized share class for its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on the XRP Ledger. The initiative launched with £50 million, allowing investors to access the fund through tokenized shares.
Franklin Templeton requires a separate distinction. Although the investment firm continues to develop tokenization through its Benji platform, its 2026 activities do not establish a new live fund launch on the XRP Ledger alongside Aviva’s initiative.
Therefore, Aviva provides the confirmed example of a fund bringing tokenized investment products to XRPL.
Hong Kong Advances 24/7 Tokenized Settlement
The final development concerns Hong Kong’s efforts to support continuous settlement of tokenized financial transactions.
On November 2, 2026, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced a new chapter for EnsembleTX. The initiative will support 24/7 interbank settlement of tokenized deposit transactions using tokenized central bank money.
However, the project does not specifically involve the XRP Ledger. Participating banks will use their own blockchain infrastructure to connect with the HKMA’s EnsembleTX platform.
X Finance Bull concluded his post by asking followers what other developments they would add to his list.
