XRP Army Reacts As YouTuber Says Ripple Bank Has No Role for XRP

Ripple has secured federal approval for Ripple National Trust Bank (RNTB). It is a significant regulatory milestone. However, crypto commentator and YouTuber Vale (@VALELORDX) raised a concern that many in the XRP community have avoided addressing. He stated that the newly approved bank does not use XRP in any capacity.

The images Vale featured in his post confirmed this directly. The RNTB does not use the XRP token or the XRP Ledger in any way for its core banking operations. It also does not alter institutional adoption of XRP.

Vale called this fact “repulsive” while insisting it is true. He argued that Ripple must “place XRP in a position to be used with more than a trillion flowing through it.” The bank’s approval, in his view, does not accomplish that.

Three Pillars and No XRP

The images lay out how RNTB operates. The bank separates communication, asset issuance, and cash reserves across three distinct pillars. None of them involve XRP.

The first pillar is RippleNet Messaging. Banks use RippleNet as a Software-as-a-Service platform for moving transaction data. It functions as a real-time alternative to the SWIFT network. Banks pay for this service in traditional fiat dollars. It transmits payment details without any crypto involvement or ledger settlement.

The remaining pillars follow the same logic. Asset issuance and reserve management operate through regulated state and federally supervised structures. The RLUSD stablecoin sits at the center of Ripple’s banking infrastructure. The bank exists to serve RLUSD. XRP sits outside of it entirely.

The Community Responds

Some in the community pushed back on Vale’s stance. One respondent argued that the separation is a regulatory requirement, not a strategic oversight.

He stated that obtaining an OCC charter, a Fed master account, and Treasury alignment required clean institutional infrastructure from the start. He suggested XRP was never going to serve as the foundation for that kind of regulated system.

Another took a more frustrated stance. He argued that the XRP community has been told to wait for over a decade, and that the bank’s approval does nothing to change that timeline.

One respondent dismissed Vale’s concerns entirely, suggesting the post was AI-generated and not credible. Vale replied with a post of Evernorth CEO Asheesh Birla suggesting XRP has not been used by banks for 14 years.

The Core Issue

Vale’s post captures a tension that runs through the XRP community. Ripple is building a regulated financial institution. While the company has repeatedly argued that XRP and RLUSD will complement each other, the former seems to be excluded in this case.
