XRP has only a few days left in September, and Egrag Crypto is closely watching one monthly chart pattern. The crypto analyst sees a potential connection between XRP’s current price structure and the three consecutive green monthly candles that appeared in 2016 before XRP entered a major expansion.
September now holds the key to that comparison. If XRP finishes the month green, the chart will show green candles for July, August, and September, creating the three-month sequence Egrag Crypto identified 10 years ago.
Egrag Crypto Compares 2026 With 2016
Egrag Crypto explained in a tweet that XRP recorded three consecutive green monthly candles in July, August, and September 2016. That structure appeared while XRP continued building its base before the cryptocurrency later moved from roughly $0.0055 to above $3.
The analyst now sees a similar sequence developing in 2026. July closed green, followed by another green monthly candle in August. September remains green, but Egrag Crypto wants the month to close that way before the pattern gains greater significance.
Egrag Crypto described the two structures as a 10-year historical rhyme rather than an exact repetition. The analyst stressed that they must confirm the comparison through price action.
#XRP – WHAT IF HISTORY IS RHYMING 10 YEARS LATER? 50$
……..September closes in 3 DAYS.
If we lock a GREEN monthly candle, something VERY interesting appears:

Could XRP Put $50 Into the Conversation?
Egrag Crypto also raised the possibility of XRP eventually reaching $50 if the current structure produces a development similar to the expansion that followed the 2016 setup.
The analyst used $1.55 as a potential starting point for that comparison and asked whether the current cycle could eventually push XRP toward $50. However, Egrag Crypto clearly separated the question from a price prediction.
Egrag Crypto said the analysis does not promise $50 and does not blindly copy XRP’s 2016 performance. Instead, the analyst wants to see whether price action confirms the historical pattern.
Digital Asset Perspectives Reviews the Chart
Crypto commentator Digital Asset Perspectives discussed the same setup in a video attached to Egrag Crypto’s post. He explained that Egrag Crypto noticed the 2016 structure while examining XRP’s monthly chart and its accumulation zones.
Digital Asset Perspectives pointed to the three green monthly candles from July through September 2016 and connected them with the major breakout that followed. He then compared that sequence with July and August 2026 and asked what September could produce.

He also noted that XRP formed the 2016 green-candle sequence while it continued building its base. If XRP forms the same three-month sequence, the historical comparison could become more significant.
September Close Remains the Immediate Test
Egrag Crypto has placed the September monthly close at the center of the analysis. Only a few days remain, and XRP currently trades in green territory in September.
A green close would complete the three-month sequence Egrag Crypto identified. From there, the analyst plans to let price action determine whether the historical comparison gains further relevance.
Digital Asset Perspectives also raised the possibility of a much larger move based on XRP’s 2017 to 2018 performance. For now, both the chart comparison and the $50 question depend on what XRP records before September ends.
