Crypto Enthusiast Nate has asked XRP holders and potential investors to consider a simple question: how much would someone risk by avoiding XRP entirely if the cryptocurrency eventually reached an extremely high price?
Nate does not claim that XRP will reach $10,000. Instead, he used the hypothetical target to compare a small investment today with the potential value that investment could reach under that scenario.
Nate Examines A $156 XRP Investment
Nate noted in his tweet that XRP currently trades at $1.56. At that price, an investor could purchase 100 XRP for $156. He then considered what would happen if XRP eventually reached $10,000.
At that price, 100 XRP would be worth $1 million. Nate’s post instead stated a value of $1.56 million, but the $1 million figure follows directly from the $10,000 price target and 100 XRP amount he provided.
Nate then presented two possible outcomes. In the first scenario, someone refuses to buy XRP because they believe the asset cannot reach such a price. If XRP eventually reaches $10,000, that person misses the potential gains.
In the second scenario, someone spends $156 on 100 XRP and XRP fails to reach the hypothetical target. That investor would lose the $156 investment if XRP eventually became worthless.
Nate used this comparison to explain why he considers the second outcome less concerning than completely missing a hypothetical seven-figure return. He also made clear at the beginning of his post that he does not necessarily believe XRP will reach $10,000.
i don’t necessarily believe that #XRP will go to $10,000.
but hear me out.
currently XRP is $1.56.
you can buy 100 XRP for $156.
if XRP DID go to $10,000, you’d have $1,560,000.
now ask yourself which scenario is worse:
1. you never buy because of your pride, you’re wrong,…

XRP Holders Share Different Expectations
The comments under Nate’s post showed different perspectives on XRP’s future. One commenter recalled advice from their father about investing in Bitcoin around 15 years ago. The commenter said their father encouraged them to invest instead of spending their money on alcohol, but they did not follow the advice. They now regret that decision and said they have held XRP for eight years.
Ken focused on a considerably lower price milestone. He said he would be satisfied if XRP broke its previous all-time high, noting it has been almost 10 years since a new record.
Rocket Man challenged the $10,000 scenario by examining the potential value of Chris Larsen’s reported XRP holdings. He cited 2.53 billion XRP and calculated that a $10,000 XRP price would place those holdings at approximately $25.3 trillion. He then used that figure to question the feasibility of the proposed price.

Melanin Herrman took a more moderate position. The commenter said they don’t expect XRP to reach $10,000 but buy XRP at what they consider a reasonable price. They also said they expect XRP to reach double-digit prices.
Nate’s post ultimately presents the $10,000 level as a hypothetical scenario and asks readers to consider the financial trade-off between making a small investment and potentially missing a much larger return.
