Analyst Issues Critical Warning to XRP Holders: Be Careful

ChartNerd (@ChartNerdTA), a well-respected analyst, took to X to call out those with outlandish XRP predictions. XRP has retraced 70% from its all-time high.

Anyone still calling for $1,000 by year-end has been conspicuously quiet about it. He said anyone still calling for $1,000 by year-end is likely making bullish posts constantly without accepting reality.

ChartNerd Takes Aim at $1,000 Callers

ChartNerd said he can “almost guarantee” that anyone calling for a $1,000 XRP price tag paid “little to no attention throughout this whole 70% retrace in 2026.” He added that such voices are “probably 24/7 bullposting” and urged his followers to be careful when taking advice from people on X.

The warning aligns with a pattern ChartNerd has maintained throughout 2026. He previously called out influencers who promoted $1,000+ targets for XRP by the end of 2026, publicly asking where those voices had gone as prices collapsed. His position has remained consistent: extreme price predictions that cause real financial damage to retail investors.

Dom Kwok Sets $1,000 Target Again

Dom Kwok, co-founder of EasyA, reiterated a $1,000 price target for XRP, and he recently made the same prediction. Kwok has remained firm despite the significant price decline in 2026.

ChartNerd’s skepticism about such figures is well-documented. In July 2026, he responded to a $2,000 end-of-year target pushed by commentator John Squire, stating that XRP would not reach that level. He also called out Bird (@Bird_XRPL) in the replies, criticizing him for his “permabull tactics.”

The XRP Army’s Response

Reactions to ChartNerd’s post reflected the exhaustion many holders feel. One commenter agreed with the assessment and suggested removing the word “almost” from ChartNerd’s guarantee entirely.

Others took a more measured view of where XRP realistically goes from here. One said he would be happy with $4 at this point. Another said XRP could easily reach $2.50 by 2027. A third said he did not expect XRP to hit $10 even in the next cycle, with $8 as his ceiling.

One commenter called for independent research rather than relying on influencer circles. Another noted that those calling for $1,000 would likely exit below $10, adding that he planned to take profits at $10.

The skepticism toward moonshot calls has grown as 2026 has progressed. Earlier this year, ChartNerd rejected a claim that a gold revaluation would push XRP above $100,000. He will likely continue challenging these unrealistic targets in the community.
