Expert to XRP Holders: Charts & Numbers Don’t Lie. Here’s What Is Coming In September

XRP just recorded one of the strongest August performances in its trading history, according to crypto analyst Egrag Crypto. In a tweet, he noted that XRP had gained 36.9% in August 2026 so far.

Egrag compared the current performance with XRP’s historical August results. August 2021 remains the strongest on record after XRP gained 58.9%, while August 2017 ranks second with a 45.2% increase. With its current 36.9% gain, August 2026 sits directly behind those two years.

The analyst also highlighted the wide range of historical August outcomes. August 2023 recorded the weakest performance, with XRP falling 26.8%, while the historical average August return stands at 2.6%.

Egrag’s analysis focuses on what this unusually strong August could mean for September, particularly if XRP maintains its current positive performance through the end of the month.

Historical Data Shows a Positive September Bias After Green Augusts

Egrag examined the relationship between XRP’s August and September performances to identify a potential historical pattern. According to his figures, when August ended in positive territory, September also finished higher 66.7% of the time.

The relationship was even stronger on the downside. Egrag stated that when August closed red, September subsequently followed with another negative performance 85.7% of the time.

Based on those historical figures, the analyst suggested that a green August could give September a bullish statistical bias. However, his post presents the data as a historical tendency rather than a guarantee of how XRP will perform in 2026.

Egrag also pointed to XRP’s strongest September performances. September 2018 and September 2013 both recorded gains of 73.4%, while September 2016 produced a 56.2% increase.

2026 Presents an Unusual Statistical Setup

The analyst also examined XRP’s performance across even and odd-numbered years. Egrag described even years as historically more mixed but noted that September has produced several strong results during those periods. He specifically cited gains of 73.4% in 2018, 56.2% in 2016, and 46.3% in 2022.

According to Egrag, odd years have historically performed better overall, with particularly strong returns appearing around May, November and December.

That makes 2026 an interesting case in his analysis because it is an even-numbered year, yet August has already delivered a 36.9% gain. Egrag identified this as an anomaly because the performance currently places August 2026 among XRP’s three strongest Augusts historically.

Egrag Asks Whether September Will Follow the Pattern

Egrag concluded that if August 2026 closes in positive territory, historical data would provide September with a bullish statistical lean. He questioned whether XRP will continue following the historical pattern or produce a different result this year.

The analyst framed his assessment around historical price data rather than a specific September price target. His central argument remains that XRP’s unusually strong August performance could provide useful context for evaluating the month ahead.

Egrag ended his post by emphasizing his confidence in using historical market data, writing, “Men lie. Women lie. But CHARTS & NUMBERS DON’T.”
