Xaman Wallet: There Is An Ongoing Scam Wave Against XRP Holders

Scammers are targeting XRP holders, and Xaman Wallet has issued a public warning through its official X account. The warning highlighted an “ongoing scam wave against $XRP holders.”

The post lays out exactly what Xaman will never do. The team will never send users direct messages, emails, or issue a token or an airdrop.

Xaman Wallet also confirmed that its support is only within the app. The post closes with a firm declaration: “Anyone claiming to be us is after your funds. No exceptions.”

A Pattern of Fraud Targeting XRP

This is not the first time Xaman has issued this kind of alert. Wietse Wind, founder of Xaman, has constantly warned community members against engaging with emails and other forms of communication. He has reiterated that Xaman has no desktop client and does not send emails or DMs to its users requesting personal information.

Scam activity around XRP has intensified significantly. Wind also personally called out a fraudulent post promoting a fake token called “XMN,” which falsely claimed ties to the Xaman wallet. The post used official Xaman branding and appeared on a hijacked verified X account belonging to Arlington ISD. Wind stated clearly that there is no Xaman token and there will never be one.

That incident reflects a deliberate tactic. Scammers gain access to verified accounts to borrow their credibility. Victims see a verified badge and lower their guard. The Xaman team actively reports these accounts, but new ones continue to appear.

More Fraudulent Activity in the Crypto Space

The threat extends beyond social media impersonation. South Korean authorities dismantled a large-scale XRP fraud operation that stole approximately 3.4 million XRP, worth around $8.55 million, from 71 victims. The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced the arrests on July 30, 2026.

The group launched a fake website designed to mimic the legitimate Flare Network and its FXRP ecosystem. Paid actors also appeared in YouTube videos to make it look credible. Once the group collected the funds, they shut the site down and disappeared.

How to Stay Safe

The advice from Xaman is straightforward. Do not sign transactions you do not recognize. Do not interact with accounts offering free tokens, airdrops, or guaranteed returns. Never connect your wallet to unverified websites. Treat any DM or email claiming to be from Xaman as a scam.

Verify everything through official channels before taking any action. Report suspicious accounts to the platform. Control over private keys remains the most reliable protection available to any XRP holder.
