More than 231 million XRP left Binance in a single day, a move worth over $335 million at the time. Crypto trader Cheeky Crypto shared the withdrawal alongside news of large sell orders sitting as high as $15 on Binance and $32 on Coinbase. The combination has fueled talk about XRP’s next major price target, but the trader says the real story sits much closer to current levels.
The Withdrawal Numbers
CryptoQuant data, cited by Cheeky Crypto through a report from The Crypto Basic, showed the 231 million XRP withdrawal was the largest single-day outflow from Binance in roughly six months.
The reported 90-day average for comparable whale outflows sits near $14 million, making this move more than 20 times larger than typical activity. Cheeky Crypto explained that XRP held on an exchange remains available for immediate trading, while XRP moved to a private wallet no longer sits ready to sell on that platform.
The same period also saw elevated inflows. Separate CryptoQuant analysis reportedly showed 1.451 billion XRP moved onto Binance over 30 days, a four-month high. Cheeky Crypto said large holders moved significant amounts of XRP in both directions, calling the pattern a sign of active repositioning rather than one-sided accumulation.
$32 XRP price target… here's what you need to know
A $32 XRP sell wall sounds bullish, but the whale data tells a more complicated story. More than 231 million XRP reportedly left Binance in a single day while large sell orders appeared as high as $15 on Binance and $32 on… pic.twitter.com/xzg8jJXay2

Sell Walls Are Not Price Targets
Cheeky Crypto addressed the $15 and $32 sell orders directly, noting that a sell order at any price is not a fixed commitment. “$32 is not a prophecy,” he said, adding that whales placing these orders “can move it, they can cancel it, they can change their mind about the whole entire strategy.” He said these levels only become meaningful once XRP price actually approaches them.
The Resistance Battle Ahead
According to the analysts cited in the original report, XRP faces immediate resistance between $1.51 and $1.55, with $1.54 identified as a key level tied to the weekly 50-period exponential moving average.
Cheeky Crypto’s own analysis, conducted with members of his Discord community, points to resistance between $1.80 and $1.98. At the time of recording on August 28, XRP traded in the low $1.40s after climbing from below $1.99 earlier in August, reaching close to $1.70, then pulling back toward $1.40.
Cheeky Crypto said a recovery above $1.54 would strengthen the bullish case, especially if XRP also breaks $2 and holds above his upper resistance range near $1.98. He noted that XRP-focused investment products have continued attracting capital despite the recent pullback, citing reported ETF inflows as an added source of demand.

Watching the Near-Term Signals
Cheeky Crypto said the sequence of events matters more than the headline numbers. He pointed to three questions guiding his outlook: whether XRP holds support, whether it reclaims the $1.51 to $1.55 region, and whether exchange withdrawals stay elevated.
He said the $32 figure only becomes relevant once XRP closes the gap toward it through sustained price action. Until then, he said the immediate battle around $1.54 will determine XRP’s next move.
