iPhone 12 Design

iPhone 12 is the redesign for iPhone X. They are similar to that of iPad Pros since 2018. The iPhone 12 and 12 Mini have a new design featuring a flat chassis. The notch size is identical to previous iPhone models. Despite speculation about a reduction in width. However, the borders around the display are thinner by 35% than any prior model.

The iPhone 12 series are the first iPhone models to be supplied from launch without EarPods or a wall adapter. A magnetic connector known as MagSafe is introduced on the iPhone 12 models. They allow accessories such as cases and charging cords to be attached to the rear of the device. Accessories can also be stacked together. Also, the devices support 5G cellular communications.

iPhones come with two rear 12-megapixel cameras: wide and ultra-wide. Both of them have rear-facing cameras. Therefore, they support Night Mode for both photo and video at full resolution. Above all, Portrait mode has received improvements and works with Night Mode as well.

Both phones run iOS 14. However, the devices come with the stock iOS apps. They are Safari, Weather, and Messages. On the other hand, they include Siri, the personal assistant in iOS.

The iPhone 12 and 12 Mini include mostly the same sensors found on prior iPhone models. They have an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, proximity sensor and a digital compass. Also, the devices include the Face ID sensor for biometric authentication.
