Radric Delantic Davis, popularly known as “Gucci Mane”, is an American Rapper. He, along with his fellow rappers named T. I. And Jeezy, developed the hip hop sub-genre of trap music. He is well liked for his rapping as well as for his song writing skills. Gucci Mane has released 13 studio albums and over 71 mix-tapes throughout his career.
Gucci Mane’s Early life
Radric Delantic Davis was born on February 12, 1980, in Bessemer, Alabama. Mane’s family has a sound military background. His paternal grandfather and Manes’s father served in military and his maternal grandfather also served in the Pacific during World War-II. In 1989, Gucci, along with his mother, moved to Atlanta due to some family conflicts. Gucci enjoyed writing poetry as a child and by the age of 14, he started rapping. After his first arrest in drug dealing, he started to take music seriously. Consequently, Mane released “La Flare” on Str8 Drop Records.

Mane released his debut studio album, ‘Trap House’, which climbed its way onto the Billboard Top 20 R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, in year 2005. He released his many new albums and also acted as an actor. He wrote an autobiography, ‘The Autobiography of Gucci Mane’.
Over the years, Gucci has worked with many other best selling artists, including Drake, Mariah Carey, Lil Wayne, and Rae Sremmurd. Gucci has released 12 studio albums, and a large number of mix-tapes during his career, which is an incredible feat. His eleventh studio album, ‘Mr. Davis’ peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.
