Psychonauts 2 – an upcoming platform video game exclusively developed by Double Fine and is published by Xbox Game Studios.
Razputin Aquato is a trained acrobat and also a powerful young psychic who has realized his lifelong dream of getting into the international psychic espionage organization called – the Psychonauts! But these psychic super spies are in trouble. Their lead has not been the same since he was kidnapped, and what’s worse, a mole is hiding inside the headquarters. Razputin should use his powers to halt the mole before they execute their secret plan to bring the murderous psychic villain, Maligula, back from the dead! This game was declared at The Game Awards 2015 ceremony.

Microsoft has postponed the release of Psychonauts 2 from 2020 to 2021. The renewed launch window was confirmed. The game was developed by Double Fine Productions, the headline was incipiently scheduled to issue in the fourth quarter of 2019, but it was declared last summer that it had shifted to 2020.
Psychonauts 2 for Xbox series
The sequence to 2005’s Psychonauts was unveiled at The Game Awards in 2015, with Double Fine going on to raise over 3.8 million dollars on crowdfunding platform Fig to further develop the title for PC, Linux, PlayStation4, Mac, and Xbox One. Now, Psychonauts 2 will also be optimized for Xbox Series X.
Microsoft stated at the Xbox E3 briefing in June 2019 that it had taken the San Francisco-based studio behind Brutal Legend and Broken Age, simultaneously with the publishing rights to Psychonauts 2, even though Double Fine was swift to assure fans it would honor sponsors of the game on all platforms.
Double Fine founder Mr. Tim Schafer has said that Microsoft’s focus on creating a wide range of content for Xbox Game Pass subscribers means his studio will be retaining the same identity and spirit it enjoyed for nearly two decades as an independent developer while proceeding to make tonnes of experimental games.
