Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, What is Synopsis and PC Requirements?

Assassins Creed Valhalla

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is the 12th game from the Assassin’s Creed series and the 23rd game in the franchise if you include spin-offs. Like all its predecessors, an open-world RPG is set in 873 AD and follows a fictional story taking place during the Viking invasion of Britain.

The player will be controlling the main character, Eivor, who can be either male or female depending on the player’s choice; due to that reason, we will refer to the main character using the pronoun they/them.

The events in the game take place after those of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, when Layla Hassan, Shaun Hastings, and Rebecca Crane exhume the remains of a Viking raider who is Eivor. Eivor and their adoptive brother Sigurd are two fierce Norse warriors chasing glory and, in the case of Eivor, revenge. Sigurd’s dream of becoming a king bites the dust when Norway’s unification takes place, and he is given the option to either bend the knee or leaves. He convinces Eivor and their clan to set sail for England to seek a new beginning. We’ll leave the rest of the story for the player to uncover.

Gameplay Assassin’s Creed

Just like the previous versions, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is an open-world, third-person perspective RPG. The main character is Eivor, who can be male or female depending on the player’s choice. The game is structured around a main storyline that is structured heavily upon the previous titles and has a fair share of side quests.

The game offers choices to the player throughout the storyline, which directly or indirectly affects the outcome. Even the main character Eivor, can be customized to the players liking with customizable clothing, tattoos, and hairstyles.

Flails and greatsword have added to the game, and now a player can dual-wield almost any weapon compared to previous titles. The player is accompanied by a raven called Synin, which provides the player with “Odin Sight,” a birds-eye view of the action similar to the Eagle Vision from the previous titles.

Settlements that had been absent since Assassin’s Creed: Blackflag has also returned. The settlements act as a home base to which the player can return to in between quests and expand these settlements over time by gathering resources for new buildings.

Like any other Assassin’s Creed game, the player can use their surroundings to heavily affect gameplay, including hiding in haystacks, bribing officers, blending with the crowd, or using concealed weapons.

Conquests and raids are still present from Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, and naval transport is available, although it focuses more on transport and less on naval warfare.

Depending on how many side quests a player decides to take on, the game has an average runtime of 60-80 hours and will take up a space of 45GB in your system.
